Equipment Mechanic - Compensation: 20.66-23.61 per hour in Oshkosh, Nebraska

The City of Oshkosh is accepting applications for a full-time Equipment Mechanic in our Central Garage division. This is a skilled position, involving the maintenance and repair of light and heavy duty trucks, and off road machinery.  Work involves performing skilled tasks in the maintenance and repair of gasoline, diesel and hydraulic powered equipment.  Employees in this class will also perform welding and body repairs.  Work is performed under general supervision allowing maximum opportunity for independent judgment. This position requires: graduation from an accredited Technical College in auto and or diesel mechanics; at least 3 years experience working on diesel engines, or heavy equipment; experience using test equipment for electronic engines, transmissions, etc; WI CDL, Class A;  State of Wisconsin welding qualification/certification; Automotive Air Conditioning certification or obtain within one year of hire. Wage range is 20.66 to 23.61 per hour plus an excellent benefit package.
