The City of Oshkosh (pop. 66,000) is accepting applications for a full-time Water Distribution Maintenance Worker. Work involves varied types of construction and maintenance work in the water utility. This position is responsibility for repairing, replacing and maintenance of water services, mains, hydrants, valves and valve boxes. Work requires the non-continuous application of mechanical aptitude and physical strength and is performed in accord with instructions stating jobs to be performed. After a training period, employees in this class must have the ability to do the work without immediate supervision. Work is inspected by the Water Distribution Management Team while in progress or upon completion for quality and results. Requirements include: high school diploma or equivalent, valid WI CDL, Class B with no air brake restriction, and good driving record. Starting wage is xxxx.40 bi-weekly plus excellent benefits.
